Kandidaatstelling 2021: Universiteitsraad, dienstraden en faculteitsraden
Van 6 tot en met 8 april 2021 vinden de verkiezingen voor de studenten- en medewerkerszetels in de universiteitsraad plaats.
Om verkiezingen te kunnen houden, zijn uiteraard kandidaten nodig. Het College van Bestuur vindt medezeggenschap belangrijk en hoopt dat gemotiveerde studenten en medewerkers zich kandidaat stellen om in de raad mee te praten over universiteitsbrede zaken die richting geven aan onze strategie. Stel jij je kandidaat?
Wat houdt het in?
Voor studenten is het lidmaatschap van de studentgeleding van de universiteitsraad een betaalde functie. Deze functie vervul je een jaar lang als bestuursfunctie voor vier dagen in de week. Als studentengeleding vertegenwoordig je de belangen van de studenten. Dat houdt onder andere in dat je College van Bestuur van de universiteit (on)gevraagd adviseert. Op een aantal belangrijke besluiten heeft de universiteitsraad zelfs instemmingsrecht, zoals de begroting.
Als medewerker krijgt je organisatieonderdeel een compensatie voor jouw werk als raadslid. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je hier één dag per week aan kunt besteden.
Wie kunnen zich kandidaat stellen?
Alle studenten en medewerkers aan de Universiteit Utrecht kunnen zich kandidaat stellen.
Hoeveel zetels te verdelen?
De studentengeleding van de universiteitsraad heeft twaalf zetels te verdelen, de personeelsgeleding eveneens.
Hoe stel je je kandidaat?
Je kunt je tot 18 maart kandidaat stellen door je aan te sluiten bij een van de bestaande lijsten of door zelf een lijst op te richten. De ingevulde en ondertekende kandidaatstellingsformulieren (inclusief instemmingsverklaringen) moeten uiterlijk donderdag 18 maart 2021 om 17.00 uur door de lijsten verstuurd zijn aan Anne Marie Partridge.
Faculteits- en dienstraden
Ook de faculteitsraden en de dienstraden zoeken nieuwe leden. De kiescommissie van je eigen faculteit of dienst kan je hierover meer informatie geven.

The elections for the University Council will take place from 6-8 April, 2021. In order to hold proper elections, we will need candidates! The Executive Board invites motivated students and staff members to put themselves forward as a candidate to join in the discussions on university-wide issues that form the focus of our strategy. What about you?
What does the University Council do?
Students get reimbursed for their membership of the University Council. This is a position you can fill for a year. You will become part of the student body of the Council and work four days a week. The staff member’s department will be compensated for their work for the University Council; as a result they can spend one full day a week on their council activities. You will be able to advise the Executive Board upon their request and on the Council’s own initiative. For some important decisions, the University Council even has a right of consent.
Who can become a member?
Any Utrecht University student or staff member can become a member of the University Council.
How many seats are available?
The student section of the University Council comprises twelve seats as does the staff section.
How to put yourself forward as candidate?
You can either join an existing list of candidates or start your own list. For further information about starting your own list, please contact Anne Marie Partridge, Secretary to the Central Electoral Office. Make sure that the properly signed forms are submitted to her no later than 18 March, 17.00 hours!
