UUMUN presents: The UUMUN Academy 2018!

Are you interested in international relations? Would you like to learn how to convince other people, deliver powerful speeches and immerse yourself in an international issue? Then apply for the UUMUN Academy! 

During this two day event, you will learn all about 'NOT FOR SALE: Human Trafficking' and how to possibly tackle the problem. You will use your new taught skills during a real Model United Nations wherein you will try to find solutions to the problem of Human Trafficking. On Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th of March, the UUMUN Academy will take place. On Friday, various speakers will teach us all about the issue of Human Trafficking. On Saturday, public speaking and lobby classes will be given, after which you will bring it all into practice during a Model United Nations session.

The event starts on Friday the 23rd at 17:00 in the Marnixzaal at the 'Utrechts Centrum voor de Kunsten'. After the speakers evening concludes, we will go to The Colour Kitchen to have dinner and to get to know each other. This day will end at approximately 22:00.

Saturday the 24th of March, we start at 10:00 at Janskerkhof 2-3 with Masterclasses in speeching and lobbying. After an included lunch, the Model United Nation session will start. The session ends at 18:00.

Please note that being present on this event does NOT mean you are selected for the event. You can only attend the event once you have submitted your application on the website and have received a confirmation. Moreover, if you are selected there is a small contributory fee of 10,- euro as dinner, a drink and lunch is included.
