Martina Chýlková is a research support officer at the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Governance. She works as a grant advisor, and is project manager in a European project focusing on entrepreneurship in Europe.

Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Martina Chýlková and I work at the Research Support Office (RSO) at the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Governance. With my colleagues at the RSO, I support researchers in searching for fitting grant opportunities and helping them to get their research ideas funded. Apart from working as a grant advisor, I do the project management in a European project focusing on entrepreneurship in Europe. This project (called FIRES) is a collaboration of nine universities from different European countries and is coordinated by the UU.

Where is this workplace?
This place is located in the centre of Utrecht, at Janskerkhof 3. Next to the offices for faculty employees, there are also the classrooms for law students in this building.

What is special about this workplace or about your research?
The building at Janskerkhof has a very rich and interesting history. In the past it used to be a Franciscan monastery, then it served as an Institute of Zoology and Anatomy and later on as a library of the Faculty of Law. All these historical periods are imprinted in the architecture of the building, which makes it a very nice and inspiring workplace.
