Silvio Ruberto

Silvio grew up in a small mountain town located at the centre of Sicily. Between the age of fourteen and seventeen, he took part and won a few literary awards, among which the most relevant is the 2010 Angelo Musco award for unpublished poetry, with a sylloge of poems title “Gargoyle”. 

Thereafter he moved to Bologna to study Chinese language and culture. In 2016 he moved to Leiden to write my BA thesis on the Dutch Comintern agent Henk Sneevliet and his missions in China. In 2019, he began a second BA in History at Utrecht University with a focus on the Middle Ages.
