On Wednesday 17 May and 24 May 2023, we are organizing the Happy Again Hackathon for the development of a grief application. The goal is to strengthen social support for young people who are grieving the loss of a loved one! During the event, you can brainstorm about the design, develop a prototype, and pitch your idea to a jury.

Many people have experienced the loss of a loved one and grieved over this loss. You might have lost someone yourself and experienced the influence of grief, or know people in your environment who needed support during their grief process. Grief can have a negative influence on mental health, and people might even get stuck in “complicated grief”. Appropriate support from friends and family is important, but not always available. Therefore, we are going to develop a self-help application for grief and you can help!
