Trams going to and from Utrecht Science Park will only run nine times per hour instead of twelve. But that doesn't go for the morning rush hour, when there will still be twelve trams every hour.

The number of buses circulating on campus will diminish too. Bus line 27, which connects the science park to Zuilen at off-peak hours, will now operate twice an hour instead of four times. The same goes for line 30, to and from Overvecht, according to an overview.

Line 28, which connects USP to Vleuten De Meern through the city centre is going to circulate less often during rush hour.

The company was forced to cut about 16 percent of its offer due to a lack of staff members and a high number of employees on sick leave. They are currently looking for 144 bus drivers (both links in Dutch, Ed.).

Part of these reductions are permanent but those concerning the lines to and from Utrecht Science Park are temporary. The company told the municipal council that the staff shortage could be solved in 2024.
