Win tickets for the performance Salomonsoordeel at the Stadsschouwburg

Do you speak Dutch? Would you like to be among the first people to see the first performance of Salomonsoordel (Solomon's judgement), an artistic project about the asylum system in the Netherlands? Salomonsoordeel is set to premiere in the spring of 2021, but a first version is already being shown for small audiences. DUB is giving away two tickets for a one-off performance at the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.

In an intimate living room setting, Ilay den Boer follows the journey of an asylum seeker and invites the audience to reflect on several dilemmas concerning the procedure: what do we consider credible? What facts are compelling enough to grant someone a residence permit, according to the current legal criteria? Should the existing system be maintained or radically changed?

Based on the premise that we are all responsible for dealing with refugees, Ilay asks the public to come to a fair decision together. But what does 'fair' mean? And what are we up against? If the current system isn't fair, then what kind of changes are needed? This is a performance that aims to not only tell a story, but also learn from the audience.

First phase
This performance is the first phase of a larger project that will culminate with a stage play to be shown in several cities from May 2021. This small tour in the autumn of 2020 will ask the same questions, only in a more intimate setting.

DUB is giving away two tickets for the performance, set to take place at the Stadsschouwburg on Saturday, November 28. Let us remind you that the performance is in Dutch. Interested? Send your full name and phone number to no later than Friday, 27 November, by noon. The winner will receive a message from us.
